HRDC- Community Housing Developments

This Friday July 21 at Eagle Mount and Zoom

Lila Fleishman, HRDC's Community Development Director, will share how HRDC builds and preserves housing across the continuum from emergency shelter through homeownership. The presentation will focus on how the national Low Income Housing Tax Credit program supports the creation of affordable rentals in Bozeman.
Lila Fleishman is a passionate problem solver. Her career focuses on building strong, resilient communities where everyone can access opportunities to thrive. As a Community Development Director for the Human Resource Development Council, District IX, Lila works to meet community needs along the entire housing continuum.

Supporting Our Fellow Rotarian I Ho Pomeroy
At our meeting last Friday, we were given an update on our long time Rotary member, I Ho Pomeroy. She has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer and is in a fight for her life right now.
She has been a member of the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club for over 17 years and has become a dear friend to many of us. She brings laughter and joy everywhere she goes and has been extremely generous in giving to others through her fundraisers. She truly lives our "Service Above Self" motto.
If you would like to support I Ho and her family during this time, here are 2 options to consider:
  • A Go Fund Me page has been created for I Ho to help pay for medical expenses and to fulfill her wish of making a trip back to Korea. If you would like to make a donation: *CLICK HERE*. If there is leftover money, the Pomeroys will donate it to One Valley Community Foundation.
  • Lauren Peck has set up a Meal Train for I Ho, Derek, and their family. If you'd like to sign up to take a meal to them: *CLICK HERE*.
Please keep I Ho and her family in your thoughts and prayers as she battles this terrible cancer.
-The BOAR- August 26, 2023
The BOAR (Blueprint Obstacle Adventure Race) is happening August 26th, 2023 at Glen Lake Rotary Park. The 5K and 1K race supports and spreads awareness of youth experiencing homelessness in our community.

July 27 - Club Picnic at GLRP
Come one, come all to our annual picnic at Glen Lake Rotary Park on July 27th at 5:47PM.
Please bring extra chairs for yourself and family plus a food dish to be shared with others. Megan Bittinger is overseeing the gathering and will post a Sign-Up Genius list for who brings what if you're attending.
We hope to see you, your family, and friends at the park. As a reminder, enjoy sleeping in on the 28th as the picnic serves as our meeting that week.

ONE HOST FAMILY NEEDED for the Winter Months of 2023-24 school year (Thanksgiving to spring break)

The time period we need the family is roughly Thanksgiving 2023 through mid March 2024.

Our student would be attending Bozeman High school, but the family can reside in either high school district for those months.  Host families do not have to be Rotary members, though we prefer a family with kids still at home going to school (any ages are fine).
