Brigadier General Carol Elliott will be speaking to us about the history of women in the US military.
She grew up in Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University with a double major in international relations and political science.
She joined the Air Force and served as an intelligence officer for 28 years, 1973-2001, in Thailand, the Philippines, Utah, Germany, South Korea, Virginia, Italy, Hawaii, the Pentagon and Texas. In her last few senior officer assignments, she directed NATO intelligence support for air operations over Bosnia; commanded a 2,700-person group responsible for Air Force intelligence activities in the Pacific; worked for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon during the war in Serbia; and served as the Vice Commander of the Air Force’s 13,000-person intelligence agency. When she retired in 2001, she ranked sixth among the nearly 66,000 women in the Air Force.

Save the date for Bozeman Rotaract Club's 2nd Annual ROTAR-HOLE Cornhole Tournament held at Glen Lake Rotary Park on August 12th from 11AM-3PM. Cost: $20/two-person team. All proceeds benefit Random Acts of Silliness.
