-April 10-
In person at Eagle Mount and on Zoom
Derek and Jeff Kampfe - CEOs, Founders, and Owners of Forward Farms
Forward Farms is a network of more than 50 independent ranches in the Intermountain West and Pacific Northwest producing grass-fed, grass-finished beef using regenerative agriculture. The company focuses on producing “carbon-neutral raised” beef by measuring both the greenhouse gas emissions from cattle and the carbon captured in pasture soils and vegetation. Through practices like year-round grazing, maintaining diverse grasslands, and improving soil health, participating ranches increase carbon sequestration. When the carbon captured across the network equals or exceeds emissions from livestock and operations, the beef qualifies as carbon neutral. Forward Farms uses this model to show how regenerative ranching can reduce the climate impact of beef production while maintaining sustainable food systems.

Community Paul Harris Fellow Award
Call for Nominations
It’s that time of year when we ask Sunrise Rotarians for their nominations for a Community Paul Harris Fellow award. This award is conferred on a non-Rotarian in our community whose life and work demonstrates a shared purpose with the core values of Rotary and the spirit of “Service Above Self”.
Last year we awarded community leaders involved in such organizations as Beinvenidos and Big Sky Youth Empowerment. Deadline for nominations is 15 May 2026 and a presentation date is set for the 19 June 2026 club meeting. Please submit nominations to Roger Barnes.

Environmental Action of the Week!
Tip #10
Turn lights off intentionally
Light rooms, not empty space.
If 50 households built this habit, it would save roughly 5,000–7,000 kWh annually.
